Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Why do people who have a choice stay at Walmart?

I don't have a choice. Where I live, it's either Walmart, McDonald's, or Popeyes, not much else to choose from. But if you live somewhere that has plenty of options, why would you stay at Walmart? I can't think of one advantage this place offers over any other place. So why do you stay?

Obviously, they stay because if you’re working at Walmart, you’re employment opportunities are slim in the first place. Why is this so hard to understand? They hire the lowest skilled applicants because those people have no other choice than to apply at Walmart.

@1efx+1bOkI7KA Teaming was the reason I left after almost 10 years. I think the goal was to push long time associates out the door when they rolled it out. They don’t want any long term employees anymore. They want part timers who they don’t have to offer benefits to. Glad I quit eat decision ever, should of done it a lot sooner.

The people at Popeyes will shoot you over a chicken sandwich.

I been at Walmart for 25 years. Even though there was a great push from unions in the 90s and 2000's it really was not as bad as they advertised. I did my job well and was treated well in return.

I been content until this GWP/Teaming replaced the old roles. It's absolute garbage now.

What does the leaders do when Team Leads hate their new role? Not listen to the stores, instead make them more miserable with the salary rumors.
