Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Disgusting

As an appliance specialist I wrote over $175,000 last month and my bonus is $350. That's a slap in the face and corporate should be embarrassed. My profit margin was 28% so I made them $49,000. That should be a $1200 max bonus.

But they only give a fu-k about themselves. Can't wait til The stores are devoid of customers which they will be the way they are going. They are leaving in droves.

Meanwhile, I just sent 3 resumes out. I'm done.

Long story short you will never get bonuses if you get max payout one time you won't get it the next only if you're in the millworks

I sold 340k in June an I was number 3 in sales in the region and number 1 appliance sales specialist in the district and I get a whopping $350.00 sales incentive bonus! Thanks Marv

Appliance Specialists will have to learn Cabinets, some stores will cut appliance specialists depending on volume.

Sold $167,000 last month and am getting a $150 bonus. That's an insult. $167,000 should pay me $8000 in a month.

I'm done doing big numbers for these clowns. They made the numbers impossible to make a decent bonus while they run to the bank. I'll handle one customer at a time and if the others leave so be it. Not worth juggling 3-4 customers for such a pittance.

Why even bother trying to make your numbers. You aren't going to get a bonus or raise. Sc--w em. If they come back and say you are going to written up for under performance, go ahead I will say and by the way here is my 2 weeks notice. You sell the sh-t and handle complaints. These mangers just don't get it!

You know how they are going to adjust SPH? By adjusting specialists out the front door…

They need to adjust SPH per store. I also work the smallest store in the district. Not fair to compare us to a store that does $25 million more a year.

And comparing $$$ to last year is a joke. Our managers are constantly complaining about it. You just can't. Last year was a once in a lifetime year. Should be comparing to 2019, but Marv and Joe will do anything to avoid paying bonuses up and down the line.

LOL. I use to do around two million a year in appliance sales and once made over 70K doing so and am now only making about 10% more than some of the new hire specialists. Also my store is located in what I have been told to be the largest XDT market that Lowe's has (XDT 3434). For those of you that don't know what an XDT market is, your Genesis invoices port into a Sterling order once tendered and gets assigned/sourced to the XDT (express delivery terminal) location for fulfillment. Better than 95% of your appliance inventory is kept at a single ADC location and 100% of your box truck deliveries are 3rd party.

If you work in an XDT market you will already know that our software works differently than a non-XDT stores and attempting to sell into the negative is asking for trouble on a variety of fronts. For this and other reasons we have been directed by the corporate office, district manager and store manager absolutely NO SELLING APPLIANCES INTO THE NEGATIVE. At any given time I would estimate that 70% or more of what we have on our showroom floor appliance planogram is out of stock. Try selling under those conditions week after week, month after month and you will quickly realize that it is impossible to hit the department budgets set by corporate let alone your SPH. Then combine that with all of the XDT exchange accounts being generated (gotta love that 3rd party delivery service) and you actually have your sales taken away from your sales total. Half of my week is spent dealing with CCIC/customer care issues related to appliances, few if any of which were even my customers to begin with. I too have had my fill and am leaving; partially because of the pay but primarily because I am sick and tired of dealing with all of the non-stop customer care issues.

Ha! cry me a river. I did a little less than you and probably worked less hours and I missed my goal by 2.5% Sales goals for April - June were unattainable due to sales being artificially inflated due to covid last year. I knew that was going to happen i just didn't think they expect would us appliances specialists to ring through nearly 1000 bucks an hr. in sales at one of the smallest store in the district.
