A friend was made an offer at another company. The problem is, it offers significantly lower pay while benefits are comparable. He's undecided. I personally think it would be worth it to take a pay cut in return for less stress, no unrealistic work deadlines, constant threats of layoffs, and an overall toxic environment. But that's just me...

I believe it
Yes. Leave the job you’re (friend) is unhappy with. You’re (they) are likely toxic in the work place anyway and not committed to being their best to earn the $200k or so, driving a nice Beemer living and a house almost any American would be privileged and overly gracious to live in and call their own. Submit the resignation go have a whaburger and beers with tears. You’re (friend’s) new job will be so much better. It’s not you, it’s the company.
You should never stop looking for the next job. However, keep I mind that within this industry the grass is not greener only different shades of p!ss yellow. Good luck.
No!
I didn't know they offered gig work for down-voting posts.
Please - let me know who they is.
And how to do that down-voting hack.
Amazing.
And - yes, I'd take lower pay with same benefits.
I'd take the down-voting job in a heartbeat.
@OP It depends on who made the offer.
If it’s an O&G company I would stay at EM, because the rest of the industry is just as toxic. If it’s not an O&G company I would take the offer.
If your "friend" wanted advice on this from this forum they would ask themselves. What an a$$hat
It's a super personal situation. I wouldn't want my friend to post about me on a forum... maybe don't?
Made up story. You need to get a life.
