People in my store work hard because everyone hopes it won’t be closed. It will be quite sad when they announce that closing follows. I don’t like to be negative, but I know of many stores that were doing much better than ours and they are closed. I think it’s better to focus efforts on looking for a new job than on a dying company. There is no hope.

Actually, more silence on this board would be better than all the rehash of old topics.
"Pretty specific"? Are the specifics in a beauty contest? I give you kudos for using the phase "can of worms"
Silence (poor communication) is a sign of an extremely poorly run company. They opened this can of worms when they announced a pretty specific number of stores to be closed over the two years. They know which stores these are and the only factor that will change the list is a significantly favorable lease negotiation that would increase the profitability of the store. They should have kept the number secret as for now a significant number of employees are focusing on it and not focusing on giving their all because they are unsure of their futures.
Silence doesn't have to be filled. There will be an announcement when there is something to announce. It is not necessary to post the same thing over and over and over again. It doesn't really help.
It doesn’t hurt to keep your options open, But the stores that close will be based purely on profits. Stores in smaller or older shopping centers may have much cheaper rents/lease and even though they are slower, they might make the company more money than a store that is busier but has a much higher rent. Only time will tell, because BBB will wait until the last minute to announce
