Seems weird that Nordstrom is asking employees to "volunteer" their time to help with the anniversary sale. Just hire people? I don't see why anyone would be motivated to do this.

Never work for free. If you get hurt or injured Nordy or any employer will deny any responsibility. You will be hung out to dry.
No way!! . Not to be on nord side but managers usually tell employees to clock in/ out under different department. From what sales ppl told me, they have to pull web orders in the morning and closing time. I haven’t heard about their working for free though. I’m not sure why managers still want more manpower despite of 50+ temps they hire for fulfillment
