anyone hear about this? Significant impact in Malta, and teams at other fabs. Little or no rebadging as well. Wondering what the scope and true impact is. I am guessing most people don't interact with IT engineering teams.

I'm an analyst in IMIT and spared for now, but some of my peers are being kicked to the street. The town hall was really awkward with the final 30 minutes of "Brad" evading tough questions. I am looking for a new job anyways because I don't trust my manager and like the idea of solidarity.
Also props to the person who wished everyone good luck in the chat at the end. Although it seemed way more empathetic than cynical, he probably has a target on his back now. Assuming he's not being outsourced anyways🙃

They can do in transparent way by telling ahead so GF can plan KT and employee can find new job. I am wondering if some one says we have gone through it should say how it is done to them which one is better
I don't know much about it but it sounds pretty bad from talking with someone on the cims team. I guess it was announced in a department-wide meeting and the exec was really tone deaf. He actually said "have a good day" at the end and tried softening it by repeatedly saying it happened to him before? Classy. Nice hire, GF/Tom.
GF in India is hiring as if a new fab is built there. Not surprised if process team will be moved there for the so called remote work and cheaper pay. So IT moving there is rather when and not if.
