Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Backstabbing

There is an abundance of it going on and management is either clueless or just doesn’t seem to care one bit. They’re either looking after their own or turning the other cheek. I hate it because a coworker of mine who works hard is thinking of quitting now.

Sounds like O'Jays(OJ?) in the house! My experience with "Backstabbers" is they eventually get found out and bad things happen to them. The truth comes out in the wash. Apparently there are a number of newbie managers running around Macy's these days. A word to the wise is "He who lives by backstabbing, dies by backstabbing". So just don't do it.
When there is intense pressure and competition, senior managers need to set boundaries on these things or else there is a trickle down effect on the selling floor. Ultimately, performance as a group drops.
