Does anyone know what the ranking groups were ( what CL levels were ranked together )

Theys no set rules - just cluster them in groups of 40 to 50.
Depends on the org.
Trying for kind of round numbers.
So they can see the bell curve.
First ranks are on personal relations and emotions - 20-30 marked on the board.
The next 10 are debated for maybe an hour before lunch. Sarcasm.
Last 10 - a dart board. Some deciders practice ahead of time.
That's just a general view. I've heard of clusters as big as 120.
Dart board a big part for those.
Managers are frequently cut, but first after failing as a manager they are sidelined into an advisor role. Managers become technically obsolete and when moved to professional role often fall down the rankings quickly. Just look at how many people that were former supervisors were cut.
I was told in O&G US Con everyone from res techs (guessing CL 23 to CL 29) were ranked together. And don't forget that meant techs, engineers, land, controllers, SHE, operations and geoscience were all one big happy rank group. How's that working for you?
Normal ranking groups are:
Tier III < 23
Tier III 24-25
Tier III 26-27 Tier III
Tier II 28-29 Senior Technical, Department Heads, and Directors
Tier I 30+ Executive Level Chiefs, Directors, and V.P.'s
Mine was 24-25
Mine was 20-27. Like others have said, it’s dependent on your organization.
EMRE did 23-27 this year to avoid one PIP and 28-29. 30 and up is executives and no managers are ever cut.
It varies by organization. Generally seems like you see groups like:
20-25
26-27
28-29
- and on up
But if an org is small, you could still end up with a strange group from 20-29.
