Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

Another reason not to buy the membership

Just found out from a friend that Barnes members are no longer given an extra 10 percent off of Criterion titles. Twice a year, Barnes has a Criterion sale where the titles all go 50 percent off. In other words, a very popular sale.

Now they won't even honor the discount for Criterion anymore (friend said they started doing that in 2019). What's the point of the membership if they keep taking stuff away? There used to be a discount for members on line (gone now), and adult hard covers used to be 20 percent off, but now that's 10 percent. And the fee is still 25 dollars!

Amazon is great but you can’t touch the items in Amazon, you can’t move things around and unwrapped things which are wrapped. At Amazon can you use the bathrooms? Can you sh-t on the floor? Huh? Can you do dr-gs? No that why Barnes and Noble is so great, a great liberal establishments a playground for the mind and an actually playground for adults to lounge around all over the place and those criterion’s can you steal them at Amazon? No? Well at Barnes you can. Who needs the extra ten percent when it’s buy one steal five. Barnes is better because Barnes is real and who does not like real. So let’s keep it real and say Barnes is better because it’s just more fun.

Offering customers less and less has instilled the lack of confidence in the company.
I purchased many criterion titles. 50% off.from Amazon ! ( like a knowledgeable, competitive company, they offer the 50% sale at the same time !)
