Isn't it fantastic after Paul ruined over 500 families that today there are nearly 400 open positions at RJ. I have not heard from anyone since my layoff regarding any job. It is sad they did not approach anyone (that I am aware of), and the loyalty that was lost when those layoffs occurred cannot be reclaimed. Great job Paul.

391 jobs as of today. Nobody wants to work for RJ anymore
The numbers keep getting better. As of 7/20/21 there are 395 open positions at RJ. Isn't it great that RJ can't find competent staffing. First they have 3rd party HR people that don't understand the RJ world. Then they have the most untrustworthy management that will stab you in the back as long as they keep getting their bonus and stock. Who could trust Paul Reilly after what he did last September. If Paul had any guts and honor he would direct HR to contact every last person let go and at least attempt to bring them back. Don't hold your breath.
Still over 380 open positions as of this posting. I had an interesting phone call a couple weeks ago from someone still at RJ asking a question that I could have easily answered. Of course I politely declined. HR at RJ is in sad shape at the moment. They have been told (if you read between the lines), that they cannot bring anyone back that was let go. I guess Paul needs to save some face.
Yep - my exact job is posted as well.
That company used to have employees who were proud to work there.....not anymore
I commented this sometime ago and similar situation, some months ago I applied at different times to two RJ open positions, one similar to the one I had and one for a job I thought I could perform. Both times got an email saying I was no longer considered for the position. By now I agree that RJ is not interested to re-hire laid off people, I will not apply again. Seems to me they are looking to hire younger people at lower salaries.
I know that I always performed my job well, never had issues, got good reviews and after close to 20 years of service maybe my salary was a little bit on the high side so because of that and my age it was better to lay me off. I have read that RJ was not the only company doing that and that so far it has not been easy for people 55 or older to find jobs :-(
I'm with all these posts. I saw on the job postings and see my exact job. If RJ had a heart they would contact people but they don't and even if I were approached I would reject it.
I am coming to the conclusion that the people laid off were surgically selected and not ever intended to be rehired. With so many openings and no one being brought back or, when applying for a position, getting a “no interest” letter, this was an intentional purge of hand selected employee. Economic, yes, but also an easy way to clean house with a ready made COVID excuse for PR. The fact so many are longer term (and older) brings it home. Hard to face but also very hard to ignore.
I will never forgive Paul Reilly for what he did to us.
