Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Awful morale

Morale totally sucks in my store. Part timers are getting hours cut, the store is understaffed, full timers are doing the job of three people, supervisors don't do anything, customers are complaining they aren't getting help and it's getting worse by the day.

But God forbid you don't race to do Lowe's University or AP4Me. That and the flawed survey system is a joke.

Pay more attention to the customers not coming here anymore and walking out the door.

Meanwhile, Marvin counts his money as he ruins another company.

Management by intimidation only works if you let yourself be intimidated at the end of the day do your best and if Your time is up there’s nothing you can do about it but you can still look yourself in the mirror every night And know you did your best

Marv and 'small hands Joe" could care less. They will bail {parachute} very soon, before the stock price tanks. Do you really think that they and "the Board" care about ANYTHING other than their bonuses and the stock price? Grow up. Grow a pair. This IS the end.

The Store Managers are all id--ts who have no backbone. Arrogant condescending Dist. Mgr plays gotcha with all of them, and they cower in fear. The Regional people are the most clueless, disconnected people I have ever seen. After eliminating so many operational positions, the stores are a disjointed mess. It will only get worse!

Well said. Same is true at my store and I would wager at nearly every Lowe's store still standing. All store level management seems to care about is not showing up on their bosses radar screen hence the absurd pressure to keep up with your Lowe's U and AP4Me. They really need to get their priorities straight but are unlikely to do so given the "manage by intimidation" philosophy which is now rampant throughout the company.
