Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Exxodus

Do you see any end for the great Exxodus in sight? PIPs coming, then minimal to zero raises, and then it’s time for PADP all over again! What do you want to see from the company?

Keep paying me the same salary for much less work than 2 years ago. This is brilliant!

Best response by far

Parity in the risk curve as it is too asymmetric. Either remove PIP target mandates OR actually provide competitive raises to compensate for the career risk of staying. I was drawn to the stability of an integrated business and lifelong career. Now that is removed with PIP mandates there is neither upside to take on the risk each year nor stability. We got the end of a very short stick. No matter how you rotate it - no leverage.

@vax+1bI4ENM1 Greed is good if it motivates you to work hard. Just as good a motivator as status or whatever alternative you would propose.

I don’t see an end and maybe that is for the best. I really don’t understand the you f engineers who chose this company. Seems very short sighted.

I come to work to make money. Not to meet “the best people” or have “the best opportunities”

It is all about the money

Show me the money
