interesting that two dillard's managers came in and gave us their cards about switching jobs. they also suggested that open sell shoes is one of the signs that the company is in deep, deep trouble. they said macys is doing this at their stores that they are planning on shuttering. they also said the loss of designer items is a red flag. "don't let them lie to your face, you look like smart girls" the manager said. i have a feeling they are telling the truth.

See, exactly like Belk.
- P.Freely, the thing about Dillards is if manager likes you, you are in favourable position, in good performing area, with no competition. So yes, you’ll meet your numbers and even exceed expectations. And yes, you are there for years (pay is good, immediate environment too, why would you leave, right?)
If for some reason, not necessarily business related, manager doesn’t like you, you will be moved around in failing departments with 2-3 more associates around you fighting for sales. Unsuccessfully usually.
And logically, why do you think they are ALWAYS hiring???
Well, not true I shop at Dillard's in Macon GA and they have the same people at that store for years and years, especially in cosmetics. The man who works in ladies shoes has been there since I moved to Macon in 2008. Sounds like a shill trying to scare people away from Dillards. Don't fall for it people.
Dillard’s is running out of candidates willing work for them. Their concert of offering good money, setting unreachable goal and terminating people in a heartbeat is well known now.
