Us lowly minions are forced to work until 8 pm closing time on July 4th. I’m sure there wasn’t a soul from corporate out supporting the stores today. He-l there weren’t any district people out in the stores today either (liked there used to be). As-----s should at least close at 7 pm.

Why would you want corporate in the stores on a holiday or even district staff for that matter? They would just get in the way. They cannot run a register, what are they going to do, down stock? It is a better use of their time to be in the stores on a regular day so they can actually spend time with us. Just my opinion but having the salaried staff in the store on a holiday (spoken from experience) is just not usual for anyone.
Corporate folks need to drag their lazy as--s into the stores to see the disaster they wrought on the staff. Maybe they'll get it. But they are probably too stupid.
I was surprised Home Depot was open all day...why not do a half day, at least, to show a little respect?
Just corporate greed. They should be closed for the holiday, because they damn sure don't give a rats a** about last minute customer needs anymore.
