Us Part timers in my store keep getting called less than an hour before their shift and are told not to come in or that their shift is no longer 1-10 but 5-10. I was getting ready to leave to go to work when they called.
And when I got in the full timers were all exhausted and left because they had no help and it was busy and most didn't get a meal break.
All of the part timers in.my store are looking for other jobs. We are tired of being treated like cr-p.
Obviously corporate doesn't care about the customers walking out in droves because they aren't getting helped when departments are empty during meal breaks. Saw it first hand myself yesterday.
It's not just the part timers that are leaving. The full timers have had their fill of this treatment and constantly escalating workload as well. Lowe's is rapidly turning into nothing more than an employment waypoint that is utilized as a temporary stopover until something better comes along. Meanwhile we keep expending resources training staff that are likely to leave and loosing our seasoned staff at a rate that is rapidly becoming unsustainable. Sadly I see little likelihood of the corporate office changing their ways.
