Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

"The past few days have been difficult for all of us at ExxonMobil"

Seriously, DW? You think the past few days have been difficult because someone spilled the beans which affects you and the other MC more than anyone else? Where have you been for the past year with the layoffs, PIP-offs, and high attrition!?

This is true only because the quiet part was stated out loud, thus removing what little credibility there may have been to EM’s publicly stated positions on climate change.

Also, when you hear an executive say “all of us” , rest assured that he isn’t talking about you, unless you happen to have lunch with him regularly.

What an embarrassment our visionary leader is, along with his PR team, his lobbyists, his strategic planned, and his executive team.
They have lost so much, including the respect of us, the business community, and the public.

DW is using the royal us here. It’s actually just referring to himself. OR it could be just the management committee. But don’t be so shameless to assume it’s referring to you peasants.

Yep there are a host of state’s attorneys general taking a keen look at all this circus. It won’t be long now (NY, MA, CA). The hearings will be a goof, get your popcorn ready.

"We are in this together" ... umm I wish I got a generous bonus, but unfortunately all I got was laid off...

Woods you should have left your head up your a-s where it has been for the last 4 years, but instead you pull it out and open your mouth and sh-t comes rolling out. No Woods, it is a tough few days for you, your board, and your net worth, which is why you can not keep your mouth shut. Thanks for once again soiling the reputation of the dedicated employees of ExxonMobil.

They need to start by dismantling the HR system that develops these untouchable arrogant incompetents who have run this company into the ground.

Its a shame that we have Him as our CEO.

And he has single handedly destroyed employee morale, spineless ‘leaders’ have to follow orders and pretend to be happy even if their souls are dead.

Because they get in stocks and bonuses while the rest of the workforce struggles to make ends meet.

These ‘leaders’ need public shaming, and I feel it comin’. This leak, the board changes are a good start.

A real man would have resigned at this shameful news leak and taken reaponbility. I guess being caught on tape himself would not be enough for him.Truly incapable and zero self awareness of self and no conscience, only greed for money.

It is so bizarre to me. I wish Management would stop trying to play "wizard of oz" don't look behind the curtain, nothing to see here. We all know that these allegations about climate control lobbying are true. We all know that they layoffs were not performance based. People would have more respect if they just came clean, apologized and did better as an organization. Stop the bleeding and admit.

DW needs to go. Under another board with a different chairman, DW would have been dead man walking!
