Macy's opens standalone Backstage store

Did anyone see where Macy's recently opened it's 1st standalone Backstage store in Dallas-Fortworth area? Will this help save Macy's? It is a store by itself, not within a regular Macy's store. Macy's is planning to open more along with having stores away from traditional malls. Sounds like a good idea, I mean, TjMaxx and Ross do very well in that category.
Additionally, with "Neighborhood" stores closing, does that mean Macy's will turn some of those into just Backstage stores? If they own the building it may not be a bad idea, if it's in a good location.
Here are some links, some interesting read. You will have to copy and paste them into your browser because I don't think this website allows it to be clicked and open on separate tab

There are a few sites that I can see going to Backstage if the main store closes. Worth a shot especially since one of the sites I cover as third party was considering putting it there. I said they should have went through with it considering the large amount of discount shoppers at that store. Have to see what happens but that site would be a great location for Fulfillment.

The Macy’s where I work needs to be a backstage. The customers would love it and understand it.

We get hit on our customer service surveys with zeroes because these people hate it or don't understand the Backstage off price thing. That's not right.
