Ya baby. I won't quit so soon.

@1enk+1bCmmmH3 You obviously haven’t looked into the details of what that guarantee means. Or what has happened to employees at other companies that have been through what we are now going through. If the pension program stops before you retire the value of your pension is significantly reduced. Between PIPs layoffs and the likely slow decline of ExxonMobil most people will get something it will just be pennies compared to what full retirees make today. That is my point.
My guess is that the 401k restoration means that the dividend will be increased a little.
Let’s see
You're an id--t to say "never sees the pension". What has been contributed is already yours and it's federally backed.
Key word “so”. OP is still quitting though lol.
I do say don’t delay my good man. Time to leave is ASAP
If this keeps you from resigning you are an id--t. None of the issues have been addressed. No raises. What do you think will happen when oil goes down again. Remember this industry will bust again. Booms seem to be fewer and shorter. Busts are more frequent, deeper and longer. On top of that if you didn’t realize the lies the company had been telling you need to wake up. You will never see the pension.
No brainer its time to stop interviewing
I am disappointed that they didn't retro it back to Oct 1st 2020.
We lost that 7% for the whole 12 months. It is quite some money we lost coupled with no raise no promo and high inflation.
The type of people who were thinking about leaving but will stay because of this announcement are not the type of people any company wants to stay. Precedent has been set is all. And you are not a priority to this company.
Yes, trust lost, and money lost. But this is also doing as intended…I stay.
I am 100% confident that walking feet got this benefit back.
I'm glad it's coming back for those that want to still work for EM.
So congratulations!
Don’t believe it if it doesn’t leak externally before you hear about it from granddaddy dallas
This is a sinking ship with crazy low morale. Salary increase 6 months from now (probably just cost of living…) won’t fix that. The people leaving are the high performers who can get more money elsewhere.
Good times are here again!!!!
The people quitting aren't the ones at risk of MLRP...they're top performers.
Jobs still moving to cheaper locations. Lesser and lesser folks to pay 401k. Next time maybe they will run plants remotely from BTC.
You wont be quiting because you will be PIPed. Dont worry Lenny. You will get to tend the rabbits one day.
This is good news but personally I don’t think we should be celebrating. We’re just back where we started, they’re not giving us anything we didn’t already have. They’re just giving us back something they took because they screwed up and punished us. Same with the salary treatments, the company isn’t going to be sympathetic and say “hey guys sorry about no raises for awhile here’s a bunch of money to make up for it” you’ll get a raise but still be behind where you should be. It’s smoke and mirrors to try and slightly improve the environment.
Not per the corporate plans that have just been developed.
Word is the pension goes bu-bye early 2022.
I'll take the 401k but I don't think the leadership team should consider this a complete fix. They showed their hand over the last year and a lot of eyes opened up.
This is a cut that went deep and they slapped a bandaid over it. There will be more problems to address.
Oct 1. Still a ways to go! 8% won't be getting much of that though before they are let go.
Doesn't change the long term trajectory....still submitting my resignation next week.
