I'm especially interested in how come new hires out-earn current employees? Do you have any idea why this is so? It is demoralizing. I have been working here for years and despite everything I have given to this company all these years, the newbie earns more than I do.

Here is some proof; Eric P. ORB/Permian. The highest paid drilling manager at MRO ever, that’s because he’s somehow connected to the stale, pale, male gang.
It has been and always will be how companies operate. You came in at current market rate and got minimal raises. Your minimal raises did not keep up with the market. Someone comes in 5 yrs later at the new market rate and they are higher than you. It's always been this way since when I started working in the 80's.
Because MRO is like any other company, they get complacent with their employees and forget their value. If you aren't being paid fairly, its time to ask for more or move on. Sadly, my largest salary increases have been from quitting and taking a new job with a new company. When a company hires you, they need you. After a while, maybe to due to the company or the industry...they like you, but they don't necessarily need you any more. Go some place you are needed and get paid.
Is it just me or does Tom H look like Milhouse’s father in the ‘Simpsons’? I love the morning micro-management meetings it helps and solves so many problems.
Pi-s Poor Leadership
Basically its because poor lazy leadership and they don’t trust current employees. Therefore having to do Micro Management meeting every morning with everybody present. It’s crazy never seen a company run like this.
I think the more fundamental problem that has been seen is the complete lack of promotions from within - which began years ago. Overtime it has gotten worse, but now MRO is nothing more than a stepping stone for job hopping. Nothing about MRO promotes any loyalty beyond collecting a paycheck every couple weeks or career growth beyond the role you were hired into.
The ironic part is that HR and upper management is so out of touch that they don’t realize they have INCENTIVIZED turnover. So now we get to take surveys that will probably just result in more of the same because they genuinely don’t have a clue.
The separations every month give new hires more negotiating powers because we need certain roles filled. That’s why job hopping is huge this year across the country. If companies aren’t giving out bonuses or promotions, the best leveraging tool is switching jobs and negotiating more.
Show me proof a new hire is earning more than an MRO employee with the same experience in the same job.
Negotiations buy the new hire, not just at MRO.
