Thread regarding Ascension Health layoffs

Experiences after layoff?

I’m still safe, but I know a person who has been looking for a better job since October last year. She accepted the first option she was given, because she was not able to wait for something better, but even in the meantime, nothing better has appeared so far.
I am looking for a new job but chances are that I will have to move to get something better. I hope others are getting more opportunities? I like to hear positive stories, it encourages me at least a little.

I received a 33% pay increase when I left Ascension. I was still employed and yes...it made it easy to look for a new job. Good luck to everyone.

A couple of thoughts here. First is the best time to look for a new job is while you still have one and the second is the best way to get a significant pay raise is by changing jobs. If you stay at Ascension, you're going to get little 1.5% raises each year but if you change jobs you might get 20-30% more than what you're getting now...
