Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

What is your plan B?

I'm really not interested in this company anymore and how much time is left until its complete collapse, I'm just interested in leaving as soon as possible.
Has anyone after Xerox made some big career switch and ended up in a completely different industry?

I worked for Xerox UK for many years and was fortunate to be able to flip the bird at a truly appalling 'professional services' manager. I was lucky enough to get a job elsewhere and it has been a real culture shock, in a good way, they are human beings!
Corporate culture has deteriorated in most geography but after Xerox I feel so much better, is everything wonderful, no but that is true everywhere, some corporations have lost their way and sadly Xerox is one.
Good luck to all on the sinking ship Xerox.

Tried not being an employee. I was fairly high level but doubled my income working a trade instead of my profession.

I did. Depending on the area of the country you
live in you’ll likely have no choice. You’d be surprised once you step back and look at your skills how they can transfer to just about any industry.

Whether it be service, sales, customer service, supply chain, etc you have skills that will transfer.

This doesn't directly answer your question but I've found luck by focusing my career with services rather than products.
