I took the job, a little more $ than as a specialist.
And after 1 week, not one person has given me any guidance of any kind.
Not the store manager, no ASM ...no one..
Just clock in and go....
This origination is in shambles, to say the least.

I would partner with another supervisor to learn cycle counts. I would spend time getting to know your team and products in the department. If you can pick up any tips about the Asm or store managers expectations. Top stock organization, sales, irp and what ordering needs to be done. When i was a hardware department manager, keys and glass cutting was a big thing, supplies like ppe and wheels for the cutter were things to check.
Cause it’s a joke... fuxxin cash grab, that is all...

In the store yesterday, I saw several new employees with their 'training' badges on, just walking around aimlessly without any guidance whatsoever.
That is why I left after 9 years. We use to have a set schedule for the most part and 1 weekend off a month.and 2 days off in a row. After Marv took over and this F-ing customer concentric scheduling bu-----t, my body and mental state could not take it anymore.
I interviewed for a position with Lowes, Dept Supervisor and it was strange interview. I have 15 years retail experience, but the Store Manager couldn't seem to answer training questions with confidence. Also the scheduling wasn't even close to a work life balance. Declined the position on that alone. I understand retail and spring is the x-mas for HD and Lowes, but give me a break on the scheduling system.
