Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Fuji/Xerox Products

It frankly amazes me that there is zero conversations about the Fuji agreement..

Do sales employees realize, Fuji is separate from Xerox completely now and can compete in North America? (For the unaware, Fuji manufactures, C60/Primelink/Versant/D Series, and more)

They already replaced the Primelink (ApeosPro C750) and it has a new user interface like the Altalink.. is Xerox in North America ever going to get that? No.

Can Fuji stop producing parts/toner/drums for C60/Versant/Primelink at anytime? Yes.

So what’s the backup plan?

If you are still on this Titanic of a ship.. the life boats are gone.

Yes Fuji could compete in NA but why would they want to? It's not like it's a booming business and it's already a flooded market.

It was also my understanding that it isn't Fuji that manufactores the parts and printers and is some other company in Japan. So would have no affect on current supply. Just wouldn't have Fuji be able to develop new technology and plans.

Xerox makes their own supplies for mentioned products. The purple drums that come at install are from fx, the sh-t green ones are xerox.

"Can Fuji stop producing parts/toner/drums for C60/Versant/Primelink at anytime? Yes."

I don't know the specifics, but there are always legal transfer agreements that Fuji agrees too provide parts for a given number of years after a product launch. Xerox has always had these legal agreements with all partners, you can't do business without them.

For sure though any updates or improvements Xerox doesn't get.

The question is, can Xerox find a new partner to replace Fuji before they run out of supplies.

The “backup” plan was the “HP Purchase”.
And the “backup backup” plan was HP buying Xerox.
They’ve got nothing now.
The company only exists now to ensure the C level get their salaries and bonuses.

It starting in my area... One of our guys found a new job within 3 weeks of posting... Gone in 1 week. I am leaving by summers end and I know of two more that will be leaving definitely as soon as possible for them. You have to leave. Stop complaining. You can do it. This company is not going to take care of you long term. All of you have already stated the obvious. You don't need anymore positive feedback about your postings to reinforce your insecurities. Good Luck.
