Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

You need to be careful

Walmart is not a solid long term choice for employment. And, there really are other options out there. People live, eat and breath Walmart -- and then don't have time for anything else. The stress levels and demands are all soul consuming. Be careful about making this a life choice -- I work with quite a few folks who are over 20 yrs with Walmart -- and management is actively trying to push them out the door. That could easily be you in 20 (probably more like 5 to 10 yrs from now). These folks sacrificed a lot for this organization -- and it means nothing. They are being crapped on. You are just another Win number -- nothing more, nothing less.

Good advice from @wup+1b2AhKPs, This needed to be seen by more people.

Yes, anyone with any type of seniority or making any type of decent money Walmart will force push out the door. I quite after 10 years last Wednesday I should of left a long time ago. They don’t value loyalty or hard work. Employees are nothing but a WIN # to Walmart.

Walmart doesn’t want long-term people anymore; the store conditions reflect that.

What they fire you for? Make to much money and to old ? Many companies do that with severance and non disclosures. So you will have to deal with that reality almost everywhere

💯 I was there almost 10 years I quit this week and feel so much relief and less stressed. Walmart is a terrible employer and you will ki-l yourselves for them when they don’t value you. You are nothing but a number to Walmart!
