I know quite a few people who are still at Oxy and O&G in general because they don't think their skills are transferable outside of this field. That couldn't be more wrong. If you think outside of the box, you'll see there are plenty of jobs you can do in other industries with the knowledge you acquired here. Just don't be afraid to give it a try.

It’s not that we don’t like oil any gas, we just don’t like roll tide lady
But don’t expect the same rate of pay and benefits outside of the oil and gas industry. Even chemical engineers get paid much more working for an oil company compared to the traditional chemical process industry.
