How is your store doing?
Are people happy with their $2? Is anyone who didn't get a raise furious?
And how is your store manager treating you?
Do you think you can stick it out much longer?
I don't think layoffs will be happening but I think they'll make it so more people will quit.

Wow, there is actually a store manager posting on here? And very delusional too.
Ex customer & ex employee here.will never spend a dime at BN.
Down with BN, Daunt, Riggio.
Customer and ex-employee here. BN still deserves to go down. Their employees deserve to be fired on the spot and I relish the day that I can witness the event. Down with BN, Daunt, Riggio.
Customer here. I went into the Ventura CA Barnes & Noble today. Store was well stocked, good group of employees, and very helpful. Not all stores are bad.
I for one think B&N management is doing a wonderful job, given the issues we have to deal with daily.
All of the constant call outs with a limited staff for one. Employees that do very little and slowly at that. I am lucky I have a really great staff, they are great workers and I will make sure our store is a success. Other managers should use me as their example.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lots of resentment and anger in our store too. Made a bad situation much more volatile.
Our managers are now a mess. A couple got the $2. Past Mgrs are no longer mgrs. and really resent it. It’s a powder keg and the fuse has been lit !
I would think everyone has an I DON'T GIVE AN F attitude by now, the place is the worst. You'd have to be an id--t to come work at B&N without hearing how bad it is.
One lead got a 2 dollar raise at my store and she called out today, such BS. One manager now expert booksellers is not taking his “demotion” well, being passive aggressive, having a I don’t care attitude lol. Dude is like 50 years old. Store is making payroll for now but I suspect it will get harder as they increase plan for our store.
