Not yet fully maximized? Well, what are they waiting for then? Giddy-up!

Sears home improvement, Sears in home repairs including A&E and ServiceLive are the real moneymakers. The potential of those businesses still has yet to be fully maximized.

Home Improvement Departments moved overseas? Ya, that makes a lot of sense. Send them over by boat.

Yeah right, like I would trust a shady company as Sears with any types of repairs. Bullocks!

Apparently they didn't have any luck getting a $billion for the business. Here's what they said last July in an attempt to drum up interest.

"Transformco, the owner of the Sears and Kmart retail chains, could raise at least $1 billion by divesting the home improvement business, the sources said. Sears has tapped investment bankers at Guggenheim Securities LLC to explore selling the business, they said."

Lowes and Home Depot have already taken much of that business away from Sears already.

I can remember several years back when Sears Home Improvement would send reps into the stores to generate business.....There was an older fellow that worked for them who would come in to our store for 3 or 4 hours a day 4 or 5 days a week, walking around with a binder and clipboard approaching customers asking them if they were interested in getting siding or roofing done on their homes.

He would walk all over the store, including apparel departments looking for leads.

Every once in awhile he would get a bite and would get a shopper onto the phone with the HI office to get an appointment set up for someone to come out to their home.

That rep is probably long gone by now.....as is the store.

I don't know why anyone thought Transform Home Improvements would be a good idea. They even tried to franchise it lol, as if anyone would want to be associated with any debacle that comes from Lampert's grubby paw.

That whole call center is closing down by November anyways, it's in our roadmap. Cost saving is one of our priorities.
