I get laid off 2 years ago , after a 5 rating, and now they’re reaching out for me to come back as a contract worker. No effing way. Downward spiral, this company.....

I would certainly hope that Roman is done soon. The problems and issues under his reign certainly have not been entirely his fault, but he's done little with the hand he's been dealt to warrant keeping his job . The Q1 earnings call and lack of favorable guidance show that he has not positioned the company to come out of the pandemic very well. Roman (like McNerny) has cut the company to the bone and should leave it to a more competent leader to return the company to growth. The number of high-level executives leaving is a huge red flag. Time to fly Mike! Go count your multiple tens of million on a beach somewhere and enjoy life.
So many EVP or SVP left in last two years after Roman took over....show of protest?
This is what happens when you layoff technically competent people with many years of service, just to make up arbitrary financial nos. for the sake of cost cutting.
Looks like some manufacturing sites are desperately looking for people to run the show since current talent and manpower is not quite enough !
If you are looking for a job, make them back up the money truck and but know it won't last. Straight out of high school line operators are pulling down $30/hr plus overtime right now, build up your pay demands appropriately from there.
3M is spiraling in for a crash, the head of HR just bailed out today. Two other EVPs left in the last few months. I can't imagine Roman lasting another year at this rate.
