Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Closings catching up to announcements.

OK, all trolling aside, this is a sincere observation. First Time in Months, that the closings will probably catch up to the announcements. In other words, unless there are more closings announced before May 30 (which seems unlikely), ALL THE ANNOUNCED STORES WILL HAVE CLOSED, before any further new closings have been announced. (This is because Costa Mesa, the only currently closing store, finally kicks the bucket in less than 7 Days). So, unless we get another closing list THIS WEEK, then as of May 31, Memorial Day, there will be ZERO liquidating stores. It hasn't been since November 2020 that SB 360's list has been completely empty and it's an odd thing to see, come next Week.

Anyone have any ideas why the closings have slowed down to a trickle and even seem to have stopped completely? Why would there be zero closing stores next Week? I thought they'd be closing by the dozens until there are only Guam and a few others left, but we're back to pulling teeth to get some nice closing rounds around here. Step it up, Ed man! Close everything but Guam, USVI, Hometowns, and online, and be done with it already!

Any kind of prejudice is not allowed here. And nobody mentioned anything about race in here except you, so you will be deleted. And there is no evidence that anyone posting here was Asian, and even if they were, there is nothing wrong with that. We are all equal, and discrimination based on race is always wrong. All Americans are equal.

You should use the shop your way card to earn more points you can redeem at Kmart and Sears.

These must be the "go forward" stores and we will get new store openings soon.

Probably some legalities that need to be dealt with. I'm sure most of the stores on the list aren't making a dime in profit.........how could they with nothing in them to purchase?

Be patient, my son, it will come. Ever heard the expression "A WATCHED P-T NEVER BOILS"? What happens when a baseball player purposely tries to force himself to hit a home run? He strikes out. But when he swings normally, the home runs will come. What happens when a Boxer tries to swing hard for the KO? He usually leaves himself open to getting KO'd himself. But if he Fights patiently, stays behind his jab, the KO usually will come.

Look, we all want these closings ASAP. Be patient. They will come, and they will be glorious. We will all celebrate. I want this company to be gone as much as you do. I have felt this way since 1999. Our Time is coming. Victory is in our grasp. We are up 200-0 in the 9th inning with 2 outs, 2 strikes, nobody on base.
Be patient, my son (or daughter). They will come.
