Thread regarding Barnes & Noble layoffs

Do something about it

So many people are complaining about BN but it's not as if you don't have a choice. I know this has been said before but I'll say it again: you chose every day to be unhappy. You have options. I still like my job. It could be I got lucky with people and the location, but things are still working out for me. If they didn't, I'd be long gone. Life's too short to be unhappy and not do anything to change that.

It's definitely the management and especially the REGIONAL MANGERS! They make the atmosphere horrific. I still hear from people who have left saying what a wicked C the witch we have is.

A lot of people are happy at a slow paced job that doesn’t require a lot of work. If you’re not stressed over the store cutting hours further or closing all together you’re probably very happy.

Some people waiting to close , lose their job and collect the enhanced unemployment benefits. Two people I work with actually said that !!!!

Most places have one or two people that ruin the experience I wish management would tighten up and toss out the trouble makers. Everyone knows which managers are a problem where I work but they are tolerated because they have been working for the store for such a long time. Otherwise working at the store is not bad. It ain’t the job it’s the people
