Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

How do you stay Motivated?

My department is being let go. We are now training the replacements for the next 4 months. NO ONE wants to be here but we need our severance. Four months seems like an eternity. How does one stay motivated?

I am in the same boat and the only motivation you need is to get your resume updated and getting the he-l out of this company !

If you are WFH do what I did. I signed into outlook and skype in the morning, and turn on the TV with Netflix. I only did what was asked for by email, and I answered the few skype messages I got (people weren't too keen to talk to a pariah whose position was being outsourced.) Other than that, watch TV, play games... Whatever. It's not like your lack of motivation will affect your PDR.

Take the money and run. Don’t fall for the “we’re making every effort to get you placed” lie.

Do the minimum so you don’t jeopardize your severance. Just know that in 4 months you will get a much better job with less headaches. I did when when I was let go and they shipped my job to Hyderabad. More money better position and less garbage. Good luck.

That sound miserable. The only thing I can say is do the bare minimum and take a lot of breaks. What department? And when did they let you know? Jobs going to India?
