Anyone know if you can get unemployment if you were fired from Macy’s? I just got a letter for unemployment compensation for employee.

Whether you were laid-off, terminated, or resigned... you should always file for un-employment. Especially in Covid times. The worst that can happen is you're denied. If you are, you can always appeal.
I think the real question is why would anyone ever work for a company like Macy’s? Employees are treated badly, there is 0 advancement, Walmart pays more to restock shelves, the customer demographic has changed for the worse, corporate refuses to adapt, they hire people for executive jobs who work for 2 weeks and go out on leave of absence for 6 months, Nike and other desired clothing companies are refusing to sell to them because Macy’s keeps making their own bootleg brands, I can go all day. Stock price is up though so yay? Oh wait Biden is raising the capital gains tax because he thinks only rich people have money in the stock market so never mind.
Who ever asked this question is an id––t. Why would you ask on this post?? You must be in some type of management position....pathetic....typical.
I early retired in February and I also got that letter for filing for unemployment compensation. I believe it is required but I did not file as I left on my own volition and I am sure it would have been red flagged by Macy’s. If you were eliminated by them then I would think you are well within your right to file.
Depends on why they got fired. If it was misconduct then no. If it was under that then possibly
