Thread regarding Belk layoffs

Is it true that Loss Prevention At Belk Is Pretty Much Gone?

I used to work for Belk in Loss Prevention and it was a disorganized mess back then. Luckily I moved on to greener pastures years ago. But, it seems like many of my former colleagues have either jumped ship or been forced out.

Our LP guy just flirts with cosmetic ho’s and plays on his phone. I don’t think we would miss his sorry a$$

They got rid of our LP and there are grab and runs a few times a week. Why these crackheads even want to steal this junk is beyond me.

We fired two STM's at my store when i worked there. they stole merchandise then would return it or sell it online. managers have always been a problem, i would say more so than associates.

There are many locations that still have LP.
Company was just recently advertising a good half dozen open positions.
Shoplifting articles frequently mention LP staff in apprehensions.
LP also mentioned in numerous physical fights. Guess some deputy dawgs still haven't learned. Wait for next shooting.

And give us a break, still reading about apprehensions for a pair of earrings, socks and the valueless testers. Penny ante stuff that should not involve staff, police, courts etc.

The best thing store personnel and management can and should do without LP staff is nothing! If corp doesn't care, you shouldn't either. Drill this thought into your head. Do nothing. Got it? You all do nothing. It's not and its never worth it
