I have a manager who has zero clue on what I do and doesn’t have an ounce of ability to do my functions. However, said manager wastes no time in criticizing and micromanaging me to death. Getting tired of the eye–rolling I receive on a daily basis as if I am not an adult who knows how to prioritize and is adept at critical thinking. If anything's going to get me to quit it'll be him.

Oh boy – why are they asking the ants? Guess you don’t take your meds over the weekend. Yikes.
"They are hired to lead and manage – produce results, etc" LOL
Why are you asking the ants for help??
Oh you need to learn the job? Which YOH TROLL should already know... So when the ants are gone someone needs to carry the next piece of sand into 120.000001Billion?
Yes and you failed because a lot of things have changed since you got your piece of paper 20 yrs ago that is not even valid nowdays in any normal profession. So STFU and quit micro–managing the people do the actual work. You got time to do everything else.
Leaders don't let leaders lead under the influence!
Cracks me up how all the non-management people really believe they are superior intellectually over all their respective managers. Like come on. Sure some are id--ts - just like many of you are full blown droolers (obviously). A lot of managers are very intelligent and yes after being out of the day to day of claim handling/underwriting for years of course they don’t know the granular details. That being said, managers aren’t hired to be technicians you genius!!! They are hired to lead and manage - produce results, etc. This whole all managers are id--ts game is old....
I have a personal log of my managements divorces quite hilarious.
This is not an isolated issue am afraid.
ET areas definitely have this issue too so it does not seem now to be isolated to just CCC or claims or other areas.
The ones choreographing and promoting those micromanaging and demeaning behaviors all have serious ethical issues and should definitely not be in leadership
It’s not good business and 3rd parties and nepotism rules SF.
Ask anyone that’s been there a while. It’s a gang mentality
You just described almost every manager at the Farm
