Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Stockholm Syndrome

I’ve got two words for some of my colleagues - “Stockholm Syndrome.” The struggle is real. Scare tactics to make you constantly live in fear of losing your job and then making you feel grateful that you still have a job. You got to love the manipulation. sarcasm

The Xerox of today takes great delight in belittling and denigrating its workers...
The days of the workforce as a valuable Asset
are long gone in this company...

Paying someone $5 for a job is against the law in Ontario.

When workload was increased due to attrition and lay offs, the Manager gaslighted us by telling us that we signed a contract, and we were not being short-changed (working for minimum wage), and that even if we signed for $5/hr, a contract is a contract.

A few temp contractors left the job during the weeks after that meeting. It's not worth it for minimum wage in Toronto.

LOL, very true. The “hope I don’t lose my sh▯▯▯y job” attitude at Xerox is quite hilarious.
