What I resent about this company is that employees are very little informed about things that could be very important to them. Someone here said that we are always the last to find out important information and I totally agree.
OK, it's already clear to all of us that this is a sinking ship that needs to be abandoned urgently, but could they at least be a little more transparent?

What is selling?
To poster above about having the worst margins to date as far as Cosmetics go and Belk being "smart to pull out"....?????? Really? Cosmetics has ALWAYS been the 'heart' of the store. WHEN/if they totally 'pull out' of all highly regarded Beauty brands our core Customers will be gone, Buh BYE. That will be the last nail in the Belk coffin.
Yes, we're going to be the last to know at the last minute, because the managers really dont care about their sale associates.
cosmetics has the worst margins to date at any department store due to lack of events and touching of faces , makeovers etc. Belk is smart to pull out of this hot mess and focus on what is selling .
I hear info on this board before I hear at my own store! Y'all told me about L'Oreal pulling out and about our raises before I heard a peep anywhere else.
Not just Belk. Every retailer I’ve been with over 30 years in the industry has $h..ty communication at best. They make you work for it to get any accurate information.
