Thread regarding Belk layoffs

TJ Maxx just hired me to start Monday!

I’m so glad I can leave belk. TJ Maxx is aware that Belk is facing problems and they welcome former Belk employees and managers with open arms (atleast they did with me), I’ve noticed when another company encourages you to start immediately without giving your previous company notice, it’s because they know it’s a sinking ship.

When they steal your PTO and last paycheck ? Their integrity SUCKS ! They don’t deserve a 2 weeks notice!!!! I’ll be consulting a lawyer Monday morning .

"Be sure you push the TJMaxx credit cards or you'll be out the door."

Folks shouldn't vote this down. It is 100% truth.

Two weeks notice is not about employer you leave. It’s about YOUR integrity. And YOUR integrity can’t fluctuate depending on who you deal with.

Yes two week notice is respectful BUT Belk doesn't warrant this action. The old Belk did!

It’s a matter of class to give two weeks notice. Organization with strong work ethic will always encourage you to leave your previous employer right way. Good luck to you at TJMaxx, but don’t expect too much of them. I’ve worked there, chaos. Hopefully one you got in is better.
