Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Has the hiring process become too selective?

I’m interested in how selective the company has been lately when it comes to getting a job here.
I came here almost 10 years ago and I think the company at the time took a lot of care with accuracy and detail when it comes to recruiting.
However, they weren't “too selective” or at least I don’t think they were.
I know a man who recently failed to get a job here and who claims that the expectations for their perfect candidate were very unrealistic. Any thoughts?

I'm a non–binary indigenous pansexual who identifies as a toaster oven. I was hired so quickly it made my head spin!

Are you suggesting that the Company should focus on skills and qualifications vs. some other set of criteria?
