@6mcb you clearly don't read the information readily available to every employee on what makes up our growth. Lapse can is at a low for us and growth is up and this is across Auto, Fire and Life companies. You sound so ignorant with your blind hatred. No reason to make up sh!t about the company when there is so many real problems to b!tch about.

@6xtl–you do realize the “record growth” includes L/C right? And yes, it is up (there is always a positive correlation with production, or said a another way No insurance company increases production without L/C going up.) The vast majority of customers do not have claims(just seems that way if you work in claims) so if you are counting on your shoddy claim handling driving them away–guess again. In fact, claim satisfaction was at some of its highest levels last year. Rates impact customer more than anything by a wide margin. And they don’t give a damn how employees are treated. If they did no one would use Amazon or Fed Ex or Uber.

record growth arguments, I’ll argue minimally if I touch my average amount of claims I know I’m paying for fraud that can’t be proven way more often than I feel like I should.

With record growth comes record fraud.

I’m invested heavily into self driving sensors and technology, I’m investing myself out of a job but that should legally be defined as “record growth.”

Remember I’m a random guy, who knows a lot but also not enough, I’d say in 10–20 years if we keep progressing as a country as a whole the way we are in tech, I wouldn’t be surprised if the laws changed that automation is now required to insure itself and it’s tech.

Meaning self driving Tesla, hits self driving GMC vehicle, that’s between the manufacturers to decide liability. Humans making 30k a year won’t have the ambition to learn how programming and faults in code/AI work.

All the main insurance carriers will be stuck with regular vehicles and lesser paying customers.

SF IS NOT A CAREER ANYMORE! They have lost their talent and customer service to accounting functions, metrics, and corporate greed. They are a McDonald's trying to pose as a 5 star restaurant.

Any good adjustor is underpaid. You’re better off getting the experience of audatex, ccc, better understanding of cars and how they work and doubling your salary writing estimates for a shop and actually be considered a skilled employee.

SF higher management doesn’t really care if customers are being paid accordingly, estimates are getting over written, handlers working around houses/cars while really having no qualifications they are mechanically inclined, or have common sense.

I really don’t know how they plan on keeping educated, and rationale customers. I’m tired of lying my way out of things, or coming up with an excuse of another adjustors educational short comings.

Something funky with employment in general is going on. I keep seeing signs at places that say “We’re Hiring” and “We are currently short staffed, please be patient”, etc. it’s like nobody wants to work.

$500 bonus if someone you know is hired in ILR/Express hubs. Must be getting desperate. They gotta pay more and offer a better work environment or the high turnover will continue. The economy is about to b–m and opportunities will be available. Why go to an insurance sweat shop, when better jobs will be plentiful. The Farm is in a bad position.

LOC employees are not going back to any offices? Not sure how you are confused by that?

No internal postings for claim handler, they might be doing external, granted I haven't heard of any non mandatory job reassignment training classes happening. This might be more bad info on this website, seems to be a common thing. I do know they have been using COVID as an excuse to hire no one, while they mess around with peoples current jobs and spark increased attrition.

Ranks are getting thin. Still no word on LOC employees status after they force us all back into offices.

SF is located around a lot of high paying maybe you can consider machining/warehouse blue collar. Work even though it’s all pretty much automated clean work. It’s hard to keep anyone that’s smart. These ware houses are paying up to 40 bucks an hour to anyone with common sense and a work ethic, good benefits also and even better Career wise PTO compared to entry level farm.

Get rid of old and hire for less; then, burn them out and start over. Not a career.

Injury claims in my section had a hiring freeze since Covid sent us all to work from home. We have lost lots of people with turn over, this doesn't include all the people on long term leave we have because of stress. We are finally playing catch up for staffing. We have lots of tier 2 Cs with over 300 claim inventories.

Lots of people have been leaving in and around my department, we’ve been getting hammered for months due to the pandemic and had forced ot not too long ago. (Which when this started happening I started hearing more and more people wanting to leave. More than likely just a few classes to make up for lost bodies.

Also too we never used to get extreme weather days or days off like the rest of the company, and so on. So taking risks like that with little pay in a car you can hardly afford to maintain.

Basically lots of reasons to leave this place and why they’d need more bodies.

Not a surprise...It's been SF's goal to move jobs to the hubs for nearly 10 years.
