Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

I'm just wasting my time in this company

I was overjoyed when I got a job at Xerox because I was employed with almost no experience. My plan was to stay here a bit and try to move on to another company when I gain enough experience and expand my skillset.

In the end, however, it’s not that I haven’t expanded my knowledge, but I feel like it is not happening fast enough. I guess there are many more who feel that way? I'm starting to look for a new job because I need to grow faster.

The irony. You got hired with no experience. I bet you lied on your resume and were friends with the recruiter or knew someone high level? Smh

Honey, go look at companies that thriving in tech not X. This is not it. Look elsewhere for what you are seeking. Also, you have to PUT IN TIME AND EFFORT to be promoted anywhere. It doesn't come overnight. It takes years OR moving to another company with a higher title opening.

The bizarre logic is on these junk companies that force out tenured employees and hire new cheap ones who just wanted experience or were over sold. In any case they will100% leave... lather, rinse, repeat.
What’s the price tag / time line on the following : duke it out with old employee to get them to leave, find a new candidate and interview them a whole bunch of times to make sure they’re not a speed bag. Get them trained. Introduce them to customers who are already PO’d about the rep change, take time to mentor them.., in 8-12 months they leave. Stup!d.. Stup!d.. Stup!d.. Stup!d.. Stup!d..company.

"Just curious, did you give ANY thought to the people you were replacing that were laid off so they could hire inexperienced people like you at a lower salary? Thoughtlessly building your career on the pain of others that came before you shows a lack of character."

Bizarre logic. It is not his or her fault that they may have replaced a laid-off worker.
