As I’m sitting here on my lunch break, I keep thinking about how nice it would be to just leave and never come back. A weight lifted off my shoulders. As of today, one associate quit after her shift on Saturday, another’s last day was Sunday, and 3 more associates have already put their notice in and there has been no word of anyone being hired to replace them. Oh and apparently our store manager is in the hospital due to COVID. I am the lead for fulfillment and I’m just tired of the same old BS every day. I’m tired of looking for clearance items in this mess and then being told that our numbers are still not good enough. I’m tired of doing this as my job. It’s very clear that this ship is still sinking.... I should jump off.

I feel your pain 110%. Fulfillment has always been a challenge, but now it feels like endless drudgery. One significant solution is to get clearance organized so everything is ready to find. Then maintain it, not just for RVP visits but once a week. It really bothers me when I have searched everywhere for a clearance item in 2nd review, reject it, and I see it later in the day on some random rack. I really wish Belk would take clearance off STH and BOPIS. I know they're trying to move the stuff but honestly, if they're not going to give the man hours to keep the racks straight, then it's not really worth the effort. For every 15 minutes that is spent combing through all the clearance and go back racks in the store for one shirt, 10 to 15 regular and sale priced items could have been picked. They want the queue cleared daily? Get rid of clearance in omni.
