People work at Belk for one reason and one reason only. they can’t find something better. As soon as they do, they’re out of Belk!!
Im 54 and I have bills. Like the other person commented, at this age it's harder to find another gig.
I like my job, and my coworkers, I dont like how Belk corporate and managers mistreat, and take advantage of the associates.
They have no concern or empathy for those ( The ASSOCIATES) who keep THEIR store going.
I've stayed because being over 60+, and applying for jobs via internet, is not an advantage, you can be bypassed due to age, without a personal interview.
Pure laziness, lack of motivation, uninspired, inattentive, uncaring, and in a humdrum retail rut.
Oh wait.. sorry. I thought you were referring to our leadership team.
