I don't need any information about the company's business or some insider news to know that this is coming to an end. The situation in my store is so bad that everything has become visibly clear. I wish I got laid off earlier so I don't have to watch this company sinking more and more every day. I know why I'm still here - because I'm older and it's harder for me to find a new job, but it's awful to watch younger people here who still believe things will get better.

I'm old and cannot find another job in this university town our Belk is in. Jobs go to young s–y students . Belk is truly dead and someone must buy it quick cause it's starting to stink!
They didn’t tell associates that they were filing Bankruptcy. So I am sure we will be the last to know.
And they're certainly not going to inform us of the closing, like a cheated on wife, we'll be the last to know.
