Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Nobody cares!

It’s amazing to me that everyone i work with doesn’t care about the quality of their work. The level of personal responsibility and pride doesn’t exist. People don’t show up on time, managers don’t hold people accountable, and the work is often done with errors.

And this includes everyone. Managers, supervisors, regular employees. It’s the worst managed company I’ve ever been with. Massive sh*thole.

I’ve often recommended changes or improvements that always land on deaf ears.

Why?
I think the low pay brings in the bottom of the barrel. Or does the low pay create a lack of motivation.

And yes, I’m free to leave at anytime which i will.

I keep hearing about Gainwell not giving raises. HMS gives raises. If this doesnt happen I can guarantee you know one will be hanging around waiting for one. They will need to build up from scratch. Good Luck with that.

People have been thru transition after transition and nothing changes. No raises, bad healthcare benefits, and not to mention the so called unlimited vacation.. thats a joke itself to have employees think their getting unlimited time.. not gonna happen at Gainwell. And management wont let you come back unless they like you if not than your out of luck. Raises are few and if you do get one its not much. Many are unpaid , over worked and they let good qualified people leave and not keep them or do anything to keep them around. ive seen it and its sad to see that there is little to no effort on managment part.

the management hires people that have no medicaid/ claims experience. Believe me i have seen and heard it all . someone use to be a waitress and other worked at a fast food place!! AND once you leave the company dont even think about going back .. not a chance whether your a long term employee or not. some work more than others some get further than others .. .depends if management likes you to get further . raises are few and far between too. the pay is low and im sure many are underpaid for what they do. its sad but true.

It sounds as if you have just arrived through HMS or as a new hire. Most of the people you work with are probably "survivors" of DXC and/or HP. Unless you understand what many of us have been through for over 10 years you cannot possibly understand the attitudes.

However, I agree somewhat with what you say. I get paid to do a job so I do the job to the best of my ability. I continue to pick up the slack of the lazy ones around me (most of whom have worked for the company for over 15 years). However, I don't care about the company at all. This is just a job and nothing more. I do what I am paid to do and continue looking for other opportunities.

If i was management, i would do 2 things

  1. Increase salary
  2. Remove 90% of current staff and hire professionals

The old proverb states “You get what you pay for.” This is often true, but when it come to paying more for higher quality employees or to provide motivation for a workforce. Gainwell employees are on average underpaid due to years of workforce cuts and no pay increases. Gainwell needs to understand that pay is the most important issue at hand.
