People don't quit a job, they quit a boss.
This is the way it is in most cases. I worked here for many years, the job was hard but I accepted it and adjusted. However, after I got a new manager, I don’t want to stay here anymore. He’s the biggest reason I've started to hate my own job as well. I can’t describe the amount of negative energy he transmits onto us.

Belk's buddy system management is driving this company into the ground. It's from the top down. Most of the managers working here have been FIRED from macys or other stores. Of course they wont tell you that.
We have a manager several people have complained about to HR, and they've quit because of her. She talks down to the associates in front of customers, they were appalled at her behavior.
She gets away with it, because shes tight with our store manager, they both previously worked at Parisian, they have a buddy system.
Sorry, corporate, and managers only care about how you can make them more money.
We need a retail UNION.
