So, how did that work out fir you?

I joined the union ONCE, promised Everything, stole the rest
I agree 100% with these ideas. Shouldn't even need a union for Lowe's to do this but Marvin is too cheap...
A minimum of 12 hours in between shifts
Sales Specialists no longer do tasks, they sell
CSAs no longer sell, they do tasks
CSAs not responsible for leads or credit
Extra money for being power equipment certified
Unions suck!
They have run us into the ground, time to band together!
More BS from our little union stooge on here. It is NOT illegal for a company to shut a plant or store down if it is union. In fact, Lowe’s has done it before(many years ago).
Working at Lowe’s can suck, I get it. That’s why I left. But hoping for a union to come in and save you and magically make things better is not going to happen.
To those of you that think they will close a store due to a union need to know that is illegal. Lowe’s cannot close a store because of a union threat or a union forms. There is a whole list of things that protect employees when thinking of unionizing. Do some research, employees looking for better working conditions are protected, companies are not.
Also do yourselves a favor and watch the leaked Lowe’s manager video used for union busting training with salaried managers. Very eye opening.
Unions drive down productivity, add cost to all the products that a company sells, foster an adversarial relationship between hourly and salary workers, reward seniority over merit(performance), force employers to cut/eliminate even MORE positions, impose dues on your paychecks that only go up and never go down, force you to walk the picket line in order to get strike pay, not to mention create stress for all workers and their families every time a contract is up.
NO THANKS!

The ‘union’ is not going to get you any of that. Without even debating whether a union would be good or not, Lowe’s will simply shut the store down before they ever even allow a union vote. That’s why retailers are not unionized en masse like some other industries. How do you think Walmart has kept them out for so long?
So I was talking to the Union Rep Jeff, he said this is some of the items they will get for us:
A minimum of 12 hours in between shifts
Set days off for FT
Sales Specialists no longer do tasks, they sell
CSAs no longer sell, they do tasks
CSAs not responsible for leads or credit
Extra money for being power equipment certified
One hour meal break without interruption
15 minute breaks without interruption
No more blackout dates for time off
Now we got 15 confirmed to meet tomorrow night.
Hey I gotta teamster friend in concrete at Giant Stadium ya pr*ck.
A union should put the final nail in Lowes coffin. The union wins ,corporate wins , the employees loose. Bet you corporate will miss all those tenured employees they forced out now.
Me and five others plan to attend. Can’t wait to see who else has the ba–s to speak up. Tired of being over worked.
blah blah.. unions trying to stay relevant when they're not needed.
They must have just left the amazon vote.
And pay union dues so a few corrupt union bosses can hang out in South Florida and Las Vegas with my hard-earned money? I don’t think so....
Lowe’s won’t run off the Teamsters. Equal work for equal pay. Fight together, win together.
It’s about time!
