LOCs employees considered remote workers. Plan your finances... that arrangement is NOT permanent.
They are taking their time ripping off the bandaids.

Maybe its not permanent, but if anything, it buys us time. I also think it makes sense for the company, as they are not giving out severance packages if they keep us working from home. I also think that as LOC employees leave the company, and if they are replaced, it will be in the hubs. If you think about it, how many LOC employees will be left in another 5-10 years between firings, moving on to another company, and retirement? Of course the company can turn up the heat on us, and then you will really the number of folks leaving increasing.
Skilled going forward? Skill means nothing in the plan going forward. History is the best indicator of that. Don't fool yourself.

You guys always see the negative in everything. Most should be thrilled by the new arrangement. Of course nothing is ever permanent in the private market. But I can tell you there are no other plans on the horizon. This is a recognition that those 20k employees are very skilled and valuable and are part of the plans going forward.
Agree...they removed “for now” from the most recent announcement when talking about working from home. But they didn’t mention anything about it being a long term part of the newest “new model”. That omission is glaring.
Nothing is permanent with SF. The sooner you realize what is called "your family"is really your enemy and is very toxic, the better off you will be. Mental illness is up and down the food chain at State Farm.
