What other word than “chaos” could be used to describe the stores at this point? Receiving areas are a disaster. Third party delivery a complete failure. Managers from Store Manager on down getting fired or quitting. Specialists getting hammered, cashiers quitting or in short supply. Loaders? What’s that? Internet: ill conceived and in complete disarray at the over stressed and increasingly inexperienced customer service desk. Inside Seasonal and Outside Garden understaffed and overrun with irate and impatient customers. The usual short shelf life of department managers keeps getting...shorter. PSE’s leaving due to new micromanagement from DSM’s . What else can you say? The disconnect from the clueless people at corporate is unreal. These Nuevo District managers being brought in? A complete joke!

very accurate. i was in store 1192 last 8 weekends and every time they had one cashier. no staff. its chaos there.
employees are forced to work unsafely to help customers because they have no choice.
a guy didnt even have another employee to spot him so he was loading all the pavers and mulch w/out any spotter driving around customers.
its insanity. someone is going to get very hurt.,
I just tell customers inventory is a mess. I level with them. I I know it says I have eight of them, but I have no idea of where their at. Sorry.
Chaos is an understatement. They need to eliminate some of these area and district “do-nothing” jobs like in-home services, area pro sales, regional EPP(w-fand area mst and put those payroll dollars back in the stores and hire more workers to handle the spring business.
It’s going to h–lin a Handbasket fast!
Now corporate is screwing cabinet specialists with the customer centric schedule. Well, guess what? We’re all getting out of Lowe’s now!!! Best of luck to you Lowes management. You brought this on yourself!
Every day that goes by I am more grateful that Lowes canned me with the rest of the assemblers. If I was still doing that I would probably have to spend a large part of my day pulling and assembling patio furniture that was sold the night before and scheduled for delivery that day. If I wasn't doing that I'd be going to somebody's house to check on some tractor that the customer abused and wanted a refund.
I’m glad that I’m not the only one experiencing this. My store is in TOTAL disarray. There are nowhere near enough associates in the building and we are comping by double, even triple digits. There is nowhere to store the level of product coming into the store and we’re just managing to keep the ship afloat. People are quitting left and right while we basically hire anyone coming in the door to apply. After all, Lowe’s doesn’t pay so well anymore. Not in comparison with our competitors and other retail businesses. If you can walk in the door to another big box store for $15 an hour, why would you bother with Lowe’s at $12? The company is too interested in keeping their 45 - 55 percent (full to part time ratio) intact rather than hiring correctly for store demand or paying anyone fairly. Everyone enjoy your 3% corporate raise they got at the end of the year? Did you get even that? Doesn’t even keep up with inflation or the rise in your insurance premiums does it? The company thinks you should be on your hands and knees to thank them for that. Oh, and don’t forget to grovel in gratitude for the $150 or $300 payments they sent you to risk your life to deal with spoiled customers during a pandemic. They expect you to be sufficiently thankful for that too and if you don’t then you’re an ungrateful sh*t.
Let me make this clear. I’m not blaming the management in the stores. They have ZERO to do with this is mess. This is totally the fault of the senior leadership in North Carolina. It is obvious that they have no idea what they’re doing. The decisions they’ve made have destroyed the morale in the buildings. They’re lucky that they have COVID around to focus people on fixing up their homes and stimulus checks to drive people into the stores. When this comes to an eventual end, THEN we’ll see what condition Lowe’s is in.
Until then, try to stay focused and do what you can. Don’t let anyone make this out to be your fault if you are a worker in the stores, even if you’re management. You can only do so much. At the end of the day, go home and put Lowe’s out of your mind. And if those above you are freaking out or taking it out on you, then remember that Lowe’s isn’t the only place to work in the world. We’re all working as hard as we can and if they can’t see or appreciate that, then f*ck ‘em.
