You guys have clearly never worked in a non developed country. Nice gratitude - wait, I mean entitlement. You realize that some people don't even have money for cutlery these days - and that includes educated people. Go to the drop in clinic or shelter and give your head a shake when you see people who used to work at the same company as you but fell on hard times. It happens. This is such a ridiculously entitled, spoiled and bratty comment. You should be ashamed of yourself.
It was going to be a knife and fork, but after that was run through the new diversity and inclusion analyst it was determined to be too binary and could be construed as offensive. A spoon was determined to be more inclusive and less offensive.
