It can no longer motivate me to work hard like it used to, nor can it motivate me to stay here. After seeing that hard work doesn’t pay off at all, I first decided to work the bare minimum, and then I started looking for other options. I really don't know what more this company can do to keep good employees, because it should not be just one thing, but a systemic solution since everything here says: "Run away from this company as soon as possible."

Pretty much all the hard workers got laid off and the older but lazy ones remain. Good luck to the M if they continue on with this format.
Lets clear something up... good employees dont “decide to work the bare minimum”.
You my friend are the problem.
I do agree with you on one point... you should run far away
well , your not getting a raise macys is only bizzy sat and Sunday now.. rest of the week is dead.
they most likely do not care if you work hard or not.. your going to be let go at some point.
there is no future at macys and malls that are C and D will go under.
why give over your mental and physicals health for a dying , dead delusional company? there is always a better place to be.. if you make sense money yet less stress thats good.. if you make more money and less stress is better
